Private Party & Social Event Catering in Las Vegas

Party catering in Las Vegas for birthdays, showers, graduations and backyard socials. Full-service menus that scale from a dozen guests to several hundred.
The food is the part of the party people remember. Not the decorations, not the playlist, the food. Whether you are marking a 50th birthday in a Summerlin backyard or feeding a graduation crowd of two hundred, a caterer who has actually done both is worth more than a menu that looks good on paper.

We have been feeding Las Vegas since 1985, and in that time we have catered nearly every kind of event this city holds. Birthdays, anniversaries, retirement dinners, baby and bridal showers, graduations, and the kind of Saturday backyard socials that start at four and end when the last guest finally leaves. Some were a dozen guests around one table. Others filled a resort ballroom. The planning changes at each scale, and knowing where those thresholds fall is most of the job.

Party Catering That Scales From a Dozen Guests to Several Hundred

Most people searching for party catering in Las Vegas run into one of two things. Restaurant chains that drop off aluminum trays and leave, or high-end operations built for weddings that treat a 40-person birthday as an afterthought. Neither fits a real social event well.

A private party sits in the middle, and it has its own logic. Thirty guests in a home kitchen is a completely different job from three hundred at an outdoor venue with no power and no shade. We have run both, early on when we were still learning how the desert climate works against a buffet line in July, and the difference in how you stage the food is not small. Hot food has to stay hot without drying out. Cold platters cannot sit in 105 degrees. That is planning, not luck.

So we start with three questions. Your date, your headcount, and your venue. From there we build a menu and a service plan that fits the room instead of forcing your event into a package that was designed for someone else.

The Kinds of Events We Cater

Private and social events cover a lot of ground, and each one carries its own rhythm:

Birthdays and milestone celebrations

from an intimate dinner to a full backyard bash

Anniversaries and retirement parties

where the guest list often spans a few generations with different tastes to match

Baby showers and bridal showers

usually daytime, often lighter fare and passed bites

Graduation parties

which tend to run large, casual, and hungry

Backyard socials and house parties

the classic Vegas weekend gathering

Reunions and community gatherings

that need to feed a crowd without feeling like a cafeteria line

If your event is not on that list, it probably still fits. We have catered in nearly all of the valley’s venues, from private homes in Henderson to desert estates to event halls, and the odd request is usually the fun one.

Choose the Service Style That Fits the Room

How the food is served shapes the whole feel of a party. It is not just logistics, it changes how people move and mingle. A few of the ways we serve private events:

Buffet works when you want variety and a relaxed pace. Guests serve themselves, go back for seconds, and the line keeps things social. It is the workhorse of a big backyard party for a reason.

Family-style puts platters on each table and lets people pass and share. It feels warmer than a buffet and reads more intentional, which suits an anniversary or a milestone dinner. You can see how we run family-style service on the service page.

Food stations spread the action around the space. A carving station here, a taco bar there, a dessert table by the back. Guests wander, and the room never bottlenecks at one point. Stations pair naturally with cocktail-style service and a mobile bar for a party built around standing and mingling rather than sitting.

Plated is the most formal option, and there are showers and anniversary dinners where it is exactly right. Not every party needs it. Part of our job is telling you when it does and when it would just add cost and stiffness you do not want.

Not sure which one fits? That is a normal place to be, and it is the first thing we talk through when you reach out.

Menus Built Around Your Guests, Not a Template

Every event is different, and your menu should be too. We cook across a wide range of styles, so the food can match the occasion instead of the other way around.

For a laid-back backyard party, BBQ does a lot of heavy lifting. Smoked brisket, pulled pork, ribs, grilled chicken, the kind of spread that holds up outdoors and keeps people coming back. For something livelier, our Mexican menus run to taco bars, fajitas, and build-your-own stations that guests genuinely enjoy assembling themselves.

Dietary needs are not an add-on we tolerate, they are built into how we plan. We run fully vegan menus that are 100% plant-based, not a sad side salad pushed to the corner, along with vegetarian options and stations we can adapt for common allergies. Tell us who is coming and what they can and cannot eat, and we will make sure nobody at your party is stuck eating bread rolls while everyone else has dinner. To be straight about it, severe allergy situations need a real conversation in advance so we can plan around cross-contact properly. It is worth the extra call.

Why Renaissance Catering

Forty years in one city teaches you things a newer operation is still figuring out. We know which backyards need a generator for the warming equipment, how long a buffet can safely hold in the heat, and how to feed two hundred graduation guests without the line stretching to the street.
We were voted Best Caterers in Las Vegas, and we still treat a 30-person birthday like it matters, because to the person throwing it, it does. Our team shows up prepared, communicates clearly in the weeks before your date, and runs the event on time and on budget. For smaller, more intimate gatherings, a personal chef experience is another route worth considering.
We don’t just plan events, we plan experiences. Tell us your date, your headcount, and your venue, and we will build something that fits.
